Lightboys

German-based duo Lightboys have created a luminous 10:1 Polaroid frame after two years of experimenting with different kinds of technology. It is backlit with the use of LED to ensure an ultra-flat and uniformly illuminated lightwall. The Polaboy, as it is called, is the Lightboys’ answer to a growing interest in ‘retrography’.

The photographic images that are mounted on top of the light frame can be selected from an online gallery, but there’s also a possibility of having your own polaroid turned into a Polaboy. Next to the Polaboy, the Lightboys also offer two other models of luminous wall decoration; the Lightwall (up to 1,8 by 4 meters) and the Roof Top Light (up to 3 by 3 meters).

Richard Woods X Sebastian Wrong "Wrongwoods"

British artist Richard Woods is renowned for his work with garish and repetitious motifs.
These 'logos' are most often abstractions and interpretations of everyday patterns--the wood grain block print being his signature.
Designer Sebastian Wrong has teamed up with Woods to create this series where the prints have been applied to utilitarian cabinets reminiscent of the 1950s.
